Easiest way to build trust and close leads?

"Write how you talk" to sound genuine, build trust and gain leads.

I bet you saw this so many times that your eyes glaze over now 🥴

But trust me, it IS that important.

So HOW do you write like you're talking? 🤔

1) Write to your bestie 

No kidding.

Even this email, I had my best friend in mind while writing.

The result?

A fun, easy to understand and engaging read.

Does it have to be your best friend. 

No of course not, as long as it's someone love talking to.

2) Read it aloud

A rule of thumb I like to follow is

"If you won't say it, don't write it.

Words that seem just fine when you’re typing away might sound downright “rigid” when your audience is reading it in their mind.

So when writing, read it aloud.

Whatever sounds awkward,

Weed them out.

3) Capitalization and Punctuations

Do me a favor and read these:

• Will you REALLY buy that?

• You won't BELIEVE what happened!

• Do this ONLY after you're past step 1.

Now, did you read those in a monotone?

No. right?

You read it like I would have "said" it.

Stressing on the BLOCK words.

Same way, punctuations also help set the tone and voice. 

• […] for hanging silence or suspense

• [! ] for excitement or surprise

• [""] for emphasis

Might be basic stuff, but works wonders.

4) Format

Did you read the book “Ugly Love” from Colleen Hoover?

If you did, you know what I am talking about. If not, here’s a small example.

She could have written it in plain old sentences but she took the unconventional path and gave it DIMENSION.

Like a play unfolding, you can literally SEE the scene, FEEL the emotions and HEAR the voice.

So, don’t just format to make it pretty….

Format to breathe life to bland words.

5) EMOJI 

Pause and read these:

• I messed up 😅

• I messed up 😱

• I messed up 😭

Same sentence, but you're reading it differently. Right?

Easiest and most effective way to make your readers FEEL what you felt and SEE how you would have said it.

There! Now your should not sound like a rehearsed bot in your reader’s minds.

You should sound like YOURSELF.

As if you’re talking with the FACE-to-FACE
